One day this summer my youngest said to me, “I’m craving a milkshake.” I agreed that one did sound good on that relatively warm day. However, that is something we rarely purchase. So my next thought was to make one at home, but we didn’t have any ice cream. I wonder what happened to all the ice cream in the freezer?
In the past, I have mentioned that New Year’s Resolutions aren’t really my thing. I prefer to live in the present. It’s a positive act to set the intention and there is much to benefit from such achievements. However, I often view resolutions as ideas that someone sees as a far-off and perhaps even unattainable long-term goal. Set those intentions, but live in the present at the same time. Make changes today, even if they seem small.
Winter time is orange time for us here in California. We may look forward to a bit of sunshine in our kitchen and ways to nourish our bodies with much-needed vitamin C during the cold winter months.
