  • Twenty-one Things About Me

This is my hundredth post on my blog. A bit of a milestone for me. I wanted to do something a little more out of the ordinary to honor this occasion. It was with the encouragement of a few loved ones that I decided to write a “things you probably didn’t know about me” post. Honestly, at first, I was uncomfortable with the idea-  having to talk about myself. Wondering who would actually want to read it. Then I realized that reading this type of post is my most favorite read from my fellow bloggers. Continue Reading

  • The Mystical Whispers of the Autumn Garden

The demure embrace of Summer is felt as it takes a final bow and beckons Autumn to gracefully dance in. Many of the plants in the garden are now flourishing in their final glory as the seasons begin to transition. It’s a cycle of regeneration, not one of dying. The enchantment of a summer garden. Maybe it’s a community garden, a few potted plants on a front porch, or a vegetable garden worthy of a farmer’s market. Regardless of the size of the garden, there is a spark of magic in even the tiniest plot of soil. The unsurpassed beauty of the mystical dance that happens between flora and fauna. The garden beckons, in its own unique voice, for us to practice mindfulness.

  • Overlord of Information

It was roughly 18 years ago that I took my first steps towards my journey of healthy living. It was a challenge to find information as I didn’t have a computer to do internet research. I bought some books, watched documentaries, made phone calls, and visited the library a few times. But I still needed more, I had so many questions. I wanted to know “why”. Why were certain chemicals detrimental to our health, why was the quality of our food declining, why were certain foods “bad” for us, and what did that even mean?
